We’ve been proud partners of Sustainable Salons now for about 7 years, which means you are too! For every client that passes through our fabulous doors, a $3 fee is charged to help us responsibly manage waste generated by your visit.
Doing our bit for the planet is really important to us. Recycling and reducing waste is a fundamental goal we aspire to every day. And you might be surprised by just how much waste a salon can save!
We love being a part of the sustainable salon movement and happily preach the amazing work being done in the name of saving mother earth and making a difference for our future generations.
In partnership with “Sustainable Salons”, we recycle hair, metals, papers, plastics, chemicals, glass, cardboard, razors, tools and more. Keeping all this junk out of landfill and our oceans is something we’re happy to be a part of them.
Sustainable Salons are also the largest charitable collector of ponytails, many of which our very own clients have generously donated. Ponytails are regularly used to make wigs for those with cancer or alopecia. And we are HUGE supporters of this fine charity.
Another one of our fav eco-conscious suppliers are ‘Paper Not Foil’ who have been supplying Esstudio with paper foils to prime your colours for nearly a decade now. Paper foils are actually made from stone and not only reusable, but degradable.
Using paper foils saves a monumental amount of foil waste. Paper Not Foil estimates the average salon goes through about 2kms of foil every month!
While foil and plastic can be recycled it comes with a big carbon footprint that just isn’t necessary. Paper Not Foil have resourcefully designed an alternative focusing on REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE
