BANG ON HAIR TRENDS FOR AUTUMN
There’s plenty to love this season as we head into the cooler months. Autumn screams ‘time to update your last season’s look!’ (and so does Aleks haha!).
COLOUR
Bring your look up-to-date with bang on colours that highlight the hues of Mother Nature herself. Think chestnut browns, auburn reds, copper tones and golden blondes. Tones that add warmth to your look are the colours to reach for.
Warmer tones can be as bold and bright, or subtle, as you like. Try highlights to add dimension to your wintery colour, or go big and overhaul your locks in full.
Whenever you’re choosing a new colour remember to match it with your natural skin tone. Warm colours can look great on both fair and dark skin, as long you mix the right undertone. It’s the combination of the colour and your skin’s undertone that makes it work. For example, there are red and yellow skin undertones; yellow is olive skin undertones and red/pink is usually on fair skin. Making sure you get the right match is essential to bringing out the best of your complexion. Don’t worry, our fab stylists can advise you on this!
Autumn colours are also great to bring out your eye colour so, just like your skin, be sure to go for the right one for you.

STYLES
Where do you look for the new ‘on-trend’ hair style? The runway and celebrities, of course!
This season the runway has served up the largest array of SLICKED BACK PONYTAILS we can remember. And slicked back doesn’t just mean a smooth, flat, brushed back look. No, the modern take on this style has many options.
1. Try adding some volume at the front with smooth sides and back, secured in a low neat ponytail.
2. Add depth with small braids gathered at the nape of the neck in a low ponytail.
3. Highlight the look with accessories, pop on a headband or scarf to add detail to the classic slicked back ponytail.
4. Use angles with a side part that is brushed across rather than straight back. You can use this one with a bit of volume at the front too.
There’s obviously something about the slicked back look because the runway also worked the NEAT BUN. Any of the above ponytail styles can be used with the low neat bun. Just wrap and secure your ponytail and you’re done!
For those who have short hair or bangs the runway poured out CHOPPY BANGS. Great for long or short hair, forget neat school-girl fringes, we’re talking edgy, more feathered finishes. Make sure you get a professional cut for this one!
LOOSE WAVES are plenty! Work with your natural waves or curl some in and run your fingers through for natural movement. Add a bit of product to keep the frizz at bay and you’re done. Who doesn’t love sexy flowing waves?!
The good old BOB is back thanks to Hailey Bieber. Let’s face it, the bob is rarely out of fashion due to its versatility. Long, short, symmetrical, straight, wavy, with bangs or not …this look can change up your style in a flash. Just remember to go for a bob that works with your natural hair texture. Just ask us for your best style!
